I've noticed that a lot of the blogosphere share my love for minimalistic, scandinavian, white decor. The simplicity along with the clean cut lines and hints of nature really appeal to me and I just know my first post university place would look beautiful if it wasn't for money! Of course it's not just about money - you can create beautiful spaces with very little but I need to move first ;) London, as much as I love you, you are NOT cheap to rent!
Think lots of clear glass, mirrors, light airy spaces! Little hints of natural items such as wood and plants along with plain, metal. Free standing items with frames on the floor leaning against the walls. Small updates such as a new duvet cover -I'm thinking this one from Marks and Spencers. It's reasonably priced and soft! The blush is such a nice colour. Different textures for linen and throws help break it up. Cactus' seem to be really popular, cheap and cheerful. Better in a terracotta pot than the plastic ones you usually get them in! I've got a pineapple biscuit tin and I'm hoping that somewhere in my room there will be space for that mirror! I really need a dressing room and a studio.... I can dream, right?
