escentual: bioderma spf 30
isn't the weather just lovely? I had to work on Saturday in the baking heat during Henley Regatta so it was a busy day. Came home to my Nana as a surprise too and we had a lovely barbecue with my family and my Aunty and Cousin as they came down for the weekend. I've spent the day hoping in and outside trying to regulate my temperature, not used to this sun!
This sun cream I bought when online beauty and skincare shop escentual were having a third off all French products. As you all know from a previous post I'm a big fan of French skincare products- especially Bioderma. This is designed to leave a matte finish on your skin and has a sebo-correcting complex (to you and me it keeps skin and hair from drying out but those with oily skin often need products to combat this and reduce it). It also has a 'cellular bioprotection' that is a preventative for aging skin. All that with an sfp of 30? Sounds good right?
It's quite a light lotion and is very white. It claims to be anti-white but it takes a good bit of rubbing in. When it's settled it's absolutely fine and there isn't a white face in sight! I've worn this both alone and under foundation, it's not super matte but it is definitely a lot nicer than normal sun cream. It's not as thick or oily. I don't think that it's broken me out anymore than what's already there! Another good thing is that it wasn't particularly drying and kept my foundation in place. I've been having trouble with my skin drying out due to the prescribed products I'm using and foundation clinging to the dry patches (everywhere, literally awful) It's perfect for people like me with acne prone skin, I also have super sensitive skin too and it hasn't irritated that either. Not cheap for 40 ml at £13.70 (handy for your handbag and flight bag) but if it doesn't clog up my face or irritate it I'm a happy bunny.
anyone got any other great suggestions for acne prone skin? think i'm going to have to go back to my doctor about it, nothing is helping!
